1983. Dream vacation. Our parents are taking us to spend a few days at a chalet on the lake. Everything is there: the sun, the beach, aunts, uncles and let's not forget the cousins!
Wearing our tank suits, my sister and I spend our days outdoors. Our only worries are to have our Barbie's live incredible adventures and to choregraph dances worthy of a large audience. I was celebrating my 8th birthday and my sister was 11. We were partners.
Our partnership now no longer creates adventures for our dolls but adventures in staging styles, fabric and colours that create possibilities for a warm, cosy, styled décor.
Time goes by and with it comes change in seasons, styles, love and friends. Nevertheless some things remain constant: family and the desire to surround ourselves with beautiful things.
